: bleeding from a ruptured blood vessel within the cranium

Note: An intracranial hemorrhage may occur within the brain (see cerebral hemorrhage) or occur in the space between the brain and skull where the accumulation of blood may cause brain damage by increasing pressure on the brain tissue.
